Our Courses


The Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education - Leadership (DECCE-L) seeks to: Raise awareness of issues pertaining to governmental guidelines, curriculum implementation and current research in pre-school education. Equip candidates with simple action research skills. Provide candidates with skills to observe, evaluate and appraise teacher-effectiveness in providing a creative learning environment and thereby mentor fellow teachers. Provide candidates with management and supervisory skills that promote effective learning programmes, encouraging teamwork amongst staff and collaboration with parents.
Entry Qualifications
5 credits in GCE 'O' Levels (inclusive of B4 in EL1) and DPT/DECCE-T

  Awards
  Students will receive an award upon completing the DECCE-L course:

In order to obtain the DECCE-L, students have to:
complete 650 hours of theory (attain a minimum attendance of 80%)
complete 200 hours of supervised teaching practicum
complete all course work which includes assignments, examinations and submission of practicum folders
